Cookie Policy
Effective date: October 1, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how AicippY — published by AIVIBE SOFTWARE SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED — uses cookies and similar technologies on www.aicippy.com and in the console, what each one does, how long it lasts, and how to change what is allowed.
It forms part of the Privacy Policy, which describes the personal data handled across the whole product and the rights that attach to it. Terms used here without definition have the meaning given to them there.

1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to keep, and that your browser sends back on later requests to the same site. Cookies are how a website recognises the browser it is talking to across more than one page load — how you stay signed in when you move from one page to the next, how a site remembers the language you picked, and how a measurement tool counts one visit rather than five.
Cookies differ in three ways that matter for this document.
- Who sets them. A first-party cookie is set by the site you are visiting. A third-party cookie is set by a different domain whose content or script runs on the page — a payment window, a content delivery network, a measurement tool.
- How long they last. A session cookie is discarded when you close the browser. A persistent cookie carries an expiry date and stays until that date passes or you delete it.
- What they hold. Some hold an identifier that means nothing outside the service that issued it. Others hold a preference you set, such as a language.
Similar technologies. This Policy also covers browser storage that is not a cookie but does a comparable job: local storage, which persists in your browser until it is cleared, and session storage, which is emptied when the tab is closed. These are never sent to a server automatically the way a cookie is — the page has to read them and decide to send them — but they hold information on your device, so they are listed here with everything else. Pixels, web beacons and software development kits, where used, are covered by the same categories.
2. How this site uses them
Storage on this site does five jobs, and no others:
- Signing you in. Keeping you authenticated for the tab you are working in, and protecting the sign-in redirect against being replayed or forged.
- Taking payment. Holding the reference for a checkout so that a payment can be reconciled with your account when you come back from the payment window.
- Remembering your choices. The language you read the site in, the light or dark appearance you picked, and the cookie choice recorded on this page.
- Keeping the service available. Network-level cookies set by the content delivery network in front of the site, which tell a person apart from an automated client and apply rate limiting.
- Measurement and attribution. Counting page use in aggregate, and recording the referral or campaign a visit arrived through so a sign-up can be attributed to it.
The first four are strictly necessary or functional. The last is the one you decide about, and it is off until you switch it on.
3. Your choices
Open the preference centre below to see the four categories and to switch the non-essential ones on or off. The choice is recorded in this browser, on this device. A different browser, a different device or a browser whose site data you have cleared starts again from the default, which is that everything except the strictly necessary category is off.
You can come back to this page and change the choice at any time. Nothing in the rest of the product waits for it: no page, download or feature is withheld because a choice has not been made.
If your browser refuses to store the choice — a private window, or a setting that blocks site data — the choice still applies for the visit, and the preference centre says so.
4. Categories
Everything listed in this Policy belongs to exactly one of four categories. These are the same four, with the same descriptions, that appear in the preference centre.
Strictly Necessary Cookies — Always Active
These are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off. They are set in response to something you do — signing in, starting a checkout, choosing a language — and they hold no more than is needed for that action. They include the sign-in token that keeps you authenticated for the tab you are working in, the single-use values that protect a sign-in redirect from being replayed, the reference that lets a payment be reconciled when you return from the payment page, and the network-level cookies the content delivery network uses to tell a person apart from a bot. Blocking them in your browser will stop parts of the site from working.
Performance Cookies
These count visits and traffic sources so that page speed and page usage can be measured and improved. They record which pages are the most and least visited and how visitors move through the site. All of the information these cookies collect is aggregated. If you do not allow them, measurement of your visit is not carried out.
Functional Cookies
These let the site remember the choices you make and the preferences you set, so it behaves the way you left it — the language you chose to read in, the light or dark appearance you picked, and the answer to whether your plan is current so the page does not have to ask again on every load. If you do not allow them, some of these preferences are re-asked each time.
Targeting Cookies
These may be set through the site by referral, campaign and advertising partners. They are used to record where a visit came from, to attribute a sign-up to the referral or campaign that produced it, and to build a profile of your interests so that messages shown to you elsewhere are relevant. They do not store information that directly identifies you, but they do rest on identifiers for your browser and device. If you do not allow them, attribution and interest-based messaging are not carried out for your visit.
5. The cookies and storage in detail
Cookies this site sets
These are set by www.aicippy.com itself. There are two.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Category | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
aicippy_locale
|
AicippY (first party) | Holds the language you chose to read the site and the documentation in, so the same language is served on your next visit and when you move between the site and the documentation. | Functional | HTTP cookie | 1 year |
aicippy_referral
|
AicippY (first party) | Holds the referral or campaign code a visit arrived with, so that an account created later can be attributed to it. The value is a short code and nothing else. It is marked HttpOnly, so no script on the page can read it. | Targeting | HTTP cookie (HttpOnly) | 30 days |
Browser storage this site uses
These are not cookies. They are held by your browser for this site and are not sent with every request.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Category | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
aicippy.billing.idToken
|
AicippY (first party) | The sign-in token that keeps you authenticated in the console for the tab you are working in. No refresh token is held in the browser. | Strictly Necessary | Session storage | Until the tab is closed |
aicippy.session.returnTo
|
AicippY (first party) | The page within this site to return you to after signing in. It is read once and removed. | Strictly Necessary | Session storage | Until the tab is closed, or until it is used |
aicippy.billing.pkceVerifier
|
AicippY (first party) | The single-use verifier that proves the sign-in redirect returning to the site is the one this browser started. | Strictly Necessary | Session storage | One sign-in redirect |
aicippy.billing.pkceState
|
AicippY (first party) | The single-use value checked when a sign-in redirect returns, which is what stops a forged return from being accepted. | Strictly Necessary | Session storage | One sign-in redirect |
aicippy.checkout.pending
|
AicippY (first party) | The reference for a checkout you have started, so the page can reconcile the payment against your account when you return from the payment window. | Strictly Necessary | Session storage | Until the tab is closed, or until the payment is reconciled |
aicippy.cookie-consent
|
AicippY (first party) | The choice you made in the preference centre, and the date you made it. Without it your choice cannot be honoured on your next visit. | Strictly Necessary | Local storage | Until you clear it or change your choice |
starlight-theme
|
AicippY (first party) | The light or dark appearance you picked. It is deliberately shared with the documentation site so that both agree. It is never sent to a server. | Functional | Local storage | Until you clear it |
aicippy.entitlement.v1
|
AicippY (first party) | A cached copy of the answer to whether your plan is current, so the console does not have to ask again on every page load. | Functional | Local storage | Until you clear it |
aicippy.nudge
|
AicippY (first party) | A counter for how often an in-product message has already been shown to this browser, so it is not shown again beyond its limit. It holds a count and a timestamp, and no identifier for you. | Functional | Local storage | Until you clear it |
Third-party cookies set through this site
These are set by another domain whose service runs on, or is reached from, this site. They are set by that provider, under that provider's own cookie and privacy notice, and their names and durations are that provider's to change.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Category | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
__cf_bm
|
Cloudflare | Bot management. Tells a human visitor apart from an automated client so that requests can be handled differently. Required for the site to be served safely. | Strictly Necessary | HTTP cookie | 30 minutes |
_cfuvid
|
Cloudflare | Rate limiting. Tells one visitor apart from another behind a shared network address so that a limit can be applied per visitor. It stores no personal data. | Strictly Necessary | HTTP cookie | Cloudflare does not publish an expiry for this cookie |
cf_clearance
|
Cloudflare | Records that a security challenge was passed by this browser, so it is not presented again on every request. | Strictly Necessary | HTTP cookie | 30 minutes by default, set by Cloudflare's challenge passage setting |
| Razorpay checkout cookies and storage | Razorpay | Operating the payment window, keeping a payment attempt together across its steps, identifying the device, and Razorpay's own fraud prevention. Set only when you open a checkout. Razorpay's privacy notice states that it sends cookies to identify the device and browser; it publishes no list of names or durations, so none is reproduced here. | Strictly Necessary | HTTP cookie and browser storage, on Razorpay's domains | As set by Razorpay |
| Sign-in session cookies on the authentication domain | Amazon Web Services (Amazon Cognito) | Keeps your session on the hosted sign-in pages while you authenticate, and carries the result back to this site. Set on the authentication domain, not on www.aicippy.com. | Strictly Necessary | HTTP cookie | Session |
Google account cookies, including SID and HSID (2 years),
NID and AEC (6 months), SOCS (13 months) and
pm_sess (30 minutes)
|
Set on Google's own domains when you choose Sign in with Google. They authenticate you to Google, protect that sign-in against abuse, and hold your Google-level preferences and cookie choice. They are not set by www.aicippy.com and are not readable by it. Google sets further cookies on its domains that it does not publish names or durations for. | Strictly Necessary | HTTP cookie, on Google's domains | 30 minutes to 2 years, as set by Google | |
_ga
|
Google Analytics | Distinguishes one browser from another so that visits can be counted. Set only where Google Analytics is enabled and only after the Performance category has been allowed. | Performance | HTTP cookie | 2 years |
_ga_<container-id>
|
Google Analytics |
Holds the state of the current measurement session for a particular Google Analytics property.
Set under the same condition as _ga.
|
Performance | HTTP cookie | 2 years |
_gid
|
Google Analytics |
Distinguishes one browser from another over a short window. Set under the same condition as
_ga.
|
Performance | HTTP cookie | 24 hours |
ph_<project_token>_posthog
|
PostHog | Holds the device identifier, the current session and feature-flag state for product measurement. Set only where PostHog is enabled in the browser and only after the Performance category has been allowed. | Performance | Local storage, with a cookie fallback | 1 year |
Services covered by this Policy
The table above names every browser-side service that is loaded on these pages today. The measurement and marketing services below are covered by this Policy, are governed by the categories in it, and are listed so that the document covers them before they are switched on. Where a service is not loaded on a page, it sets nothing on your device from that page.
| Service | What it would do | Category it falls under | Its notice |
|---|---|---|---|
| PostHog | Product and release measurement. It is used today for aggregate counts reported from the release pipeline, which involves no storage on your device. | Performance | Privacy · Terms |
| Google Analytics | Website and console measurement: pages viewed, events, traffic sources. | Performance | Privacy · Terms |
| Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools | Reporting on how the site appears in search results. These read the search engine's own records and set nothing on your device through this site. | Not applicable — no storage on your device | Google · Microsoft |
| Referral and campaign attribution |
Recording the referral or campaign a visit arrived through, and attributing a later sign-up to
it. Implemented today by the first-party aicippy_referral cookie.
|
Targeting | Privacy Policy |
| Payment gateways other than Razorpay | Where a payment is taken through PayPal, PayU India, Zoho Payments or ICICI IPay, that gateway's own checkout sets its own cookies on its own domains, under its own notice. | Strictly Necessary | See the payment processors table |
How long this lasts
The Duration column above states the lifetime of each individual cookie and storage item, and that column is the operative statement for each one. Two principles sit behind it. A session item is discarded when the browser session ends. A persistent item lasts for the period stated against it, and that period is set to what the stated purpose needs and no longer — a preference lasts as long as the preference is useful, a security item lasts as long as the risk it addresses.
Data derived from a cookie, once it has been collected, is held for the period set out under Retention and deletion in the Privacy Policy, which is a separate question from the lifetime of the cookie itself. Where a third party sets the cookie, the retention of what that provider collects through it is determined by that provider and is governed by its own notice, linked against it below. Withdrawing consent in the preference centre stops further collection in that category immediately; it does not by itself erase what a third party has already collected, and a request to that provider is the route for that.
6. Third parties
Each third-party service named in this Policy is used as provided and unmodified, under that provider's own terms and privacy notice. Cookie names, purposes and durations set by a third party are that provider's to determine and to change, and this document is updated when a change comes to notice.
Where an issue arises within a third-party service, that provider's policy governs it. A full list of the providers the product depends on, with the data categories, regions and links to each provider's terms and privacy notice, is in the Privacy Policy.
Industry opt-out routes for advertising cookies
The preference centre on this page is the direct control: switching the Targeting category off stops this site setting or reading anything in that category, and it takes effect immediately. The routes below are additional, are operated by advertising industry bodies rather than by the Company, and apply across the participating companies rather than to this site alone.
- Digital Advertising Alliance — optout.aboutads.info
- Network Advertising Initiative — optout.networkadvertising.org
- European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance — youronlinechoices.eu
- Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada — youradchoices.ca
Each of those routes records the opt-out as a cookie in the browser it is used in. Clearing that browser's cookies removes it, and it does not carry across to another browser or another device. Two further limits follow from how they work: a company that does not participate in the body operating the route is unaffected by it, and an opt-out stops interest-based selection rather than advertising itself. The preference centre on this page is not subject to either limit for this site.
7. Browser-level controls
The preference centre on this page controls what this site does. Your browser has controls of its own, which operate independently of it and reach further: most browsers can block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, delete cookies already stored, clear site data, and prompt on each new cookie. Those settings are usually under Privacy, Security or Site settings.
Blocking or clearing site data has consequences here. You will be signed out and have to sign in again, the language and appearance you picked will be forgotten, a checkout in progress may not reconcile, and the cookie choice recorded on this page will be erased, so the preference centre will start again from the default.
Background on cookies generally, including how to manage and delete them in each browser, is at https://www.allaboutcookies.org/ .
8. Do Not Track
Browsers may offer a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no single agreed meaning for it, and this site does not act on it. Use the preference centre on this page, or your browser's own cookie controls, which do have a defined effect.
9. Changes to this Policy
This Policy is updated as the Services change, as providers change what they set, and as the categories covered change. The effective date at the top is the date the current version took effect.
A change that alters what a category covers, or that adds a service in a non-essential category, is reflected here and takes effect through the preference centre — a choice recorded under an earlier set of categories is not carried across to a new one, and the preference centre asks again.
10. Language
The English text of this Policy is the authoritative text. The website is published in several languages; a translation of this document is provided for convenience only, and where it differs from the English text, the English text prevails.
